The questions families ask first.
What does it cost?
It depends on how long your student works with us and how much support the project needs. The brochure lays out every option and price, and on the first call we walk through what fits your student.
Which grades is this for? Are we too early or too late?
Students in 6th through 12th grade. A project takes at least three months, so the earlier a student starts, the further it can go. If your student is a senior, talk to us first so we can tell you plainly what is realistic before your deadlines.
My student does not know what to build yet.
Most do not. The first month of every program is research and definition: your student works 1-on-1 with their mentor to find a problem they care about in a field they already like, then decides what to build.
My student already has a project.
Then we start where they are. From there we can run a real-world pilot with real users and data, or take the project into competitions with a research write-up and application-ready materials.
How much time does it take each week?
One 1-on-1 session a week with their mentor, plus the work between sessions. Parents do not need to manage it: you get an update after every session and a one-page progress report every month.
Who will coach my student?
An expert mentor matched to their field, from a team of about 30 coaches we train and vet, plus a strategic consultant who sets direction and ties the project to the application. You meet them before anything starts.
We live outside the United States. Can we join?
Yes. Students join us from around the world. Sessions are online and scheduled directly with your mentor.
We already work with a college counselor.
Keep them. We build the project and the evidence; your counselor positions it. We work alongside independent counselors and can keep yours updated after every session.
Can you promise an award or an admission?
No, and no honest program can. What we guarantee is the work: the project is built and reviewed, and every competition entry we take on is submitted.
